Bio
Coach Peter Hercus is in his third year at the helm of the Women’s Rugby program. Coach Hercus first started coaching when he came to Canada in the 1990’s. The high schools he taught at were all in need of people who understood rugby, and being from New Zealand where rugby is the national sport, it was a natural fit. Club rugby and provincial rugby coaching followed over the years and now, with Trent University, Peter has grown the program a great deal.
Coach Hercus has won provincial and national championships as an age division coach. His proudest moments, however, is when he set up the Belleville Bulldogs Touch Rugby league so that kids could play before getting to high school.
