Trent Athletics Announces 2026 Men's Rugby Schedule

Excalibur open the season at home as the program marks its 50th year of varsity men's rugby

Trent University Excalibur Men's Rugby is set to return to the pitch this fall, with six regular season contests on the schedule, including three home matches at Justin Chiu Stadium.

The Excalibur open the 2026-27 campaign at home on Saturday, September 12, welcoming the RMC Paladins for a 6 p.m. kickoff.

This season marks the 50th anniversary of Excalibur Men's Rugby at Trent, adding another milestone to the program's long-standing tradition of varsity competition.

This season, fans can catch the Excalibur in action during Head of the Trent Weekend, when they host the Guelph Gryphons under the lights at Justin Chiu Stadium on Saturday, October 3 at 6 p.m.

The team's final home game of the regular season will take place on Saturday, October 10 at 1 p.m. as the Excalibur celebrate Senior Day, recognizing the graduating student-athletes for their contributions to the program.

The regular season concludes on the road before attention turns to the OUA playoffs.

Ticket information:

Game Day Tickets: $10 per game, available at the gate.

Trent Students: Free admission to all regular season games with a valid TrentU student card.

Children 12 and Under: Free admission when accompanied by an adult or guardian.

All spectators aged 13 and older must have a valid ticket for any regular or postseason varsity event.
